The Second Step Players
The Second Step Players
The Second Step Players bring joy, create a sense of community, and put the “fun” in dysFUNction during the Holiday Season!
We’ll be at The Spirit of Broadway Theater in Norwich, CT on December 17 - 21. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, with 2:00 matinees on Sunday and Monday.
The MONDAY MATINEE
will be free of charge
for members from local mental health organizations!
Note: As of Tuesday, December 15, the Monday Matinee is sold out.

All proceeds from Ticket Sales support Artreach program activities, which include our Performing Arts troupe, The Second Step Players; classes in theater, music, and visual arts; recreational events; and wellness classes. ALL of our activities are designed to promote personal growth and to support the recovery of the program members.
CRAFT SALE FUNDRAISER on behalf of The Martin House!
(or, it’s NEVER too late to do your Christmas shopping!)
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a fundraiser for The Martin House in the lobby of the theater. Art, jewelry, and craft items will be for sale, and the proceeds from the sales will ALL be donated to The Martin House!!
Artreach wants to help - and YOU can help, TOO!! It’ll feel good, be good for your karma, and be tons of fun, to boot. How could you go wrong? Buy your last minute holiday gifts, AND support a very worthy cause!
Martin House is a caring community where individuals of limited income who have been alone, alienated, fearful, and dispossessed can develop healthy relationships, new dignity, and a renewed life. Martin House's community includes people recovering from mental illness and addictions. Martin House provides dignified housing, nutritious food, a safe, caring environment, and supportive and employment services for 57 men and women who seldom experience any of these.
Martin House is particularly in need of funding at this time because a major contributor, the United Way, had a 27.8% shortfall in its campaign and cut Martin House's funding $45,264 (-22.4%) beginning July 1, 2009.
Call 860-887-0014 to reserve your tickets for
Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Reservations are now CLOSED for the Monday matinee
(all seats are full).
Please include your name, address, phone number, which night you’d like to come, and how many people in your party. If you want to sit with another party but are buying tickets separately, please let me know so that we can seat you together.
Please note: This show is rated PG-13 for some mild “adult” language (closer to CBS than Showtime, if you know what I mean). Just giving you a heads up in case you decide to bring the kids. . .
If you will be in a wheelchair or will need assistance, please let us know when you reserve your tickets so that we may be prepared to make you comfortable.
It’s a small theater, and is a good idea to reserve tickets in advance. We will hold them for you at the door to be picked up on show night. Any tickets that are unclaimed by showtime will be sold.
Call (860) 887-0014 for more information - tickets may be reserved in advance. Online registration is now closed, but we can still take your reservation by phone.
